Premier Exhibits Innovation And Sustainability At The Print Show 2024

Premier successfully showcased its latest innovations and sustainability initiatives at The Print Show 2024. The event, operating under the banner “Print Without Barriers,” brought together the UK’s leading print industry professionals to explore the evolving possibilities of print and how it continues to push the boundaries beyond ink on paper.

Premier, a major supplier to the print and communications industry, presented a wide range of its specialist divisions and used the opportunity to launch new, cutting edge products. A key highlight from Premier Display Graphics was the introduction of the eTEC AIR Bubble Board, a new polypropylene bubble board. Featuring a white bubble core, this board offers superior stability and rigidity, along with two smooth, bright white surfaces ideal for vibrant and precise prints. Treated for outdoor durability, the eTEC AIR Bubble Board is perfect for signage, point of sale displays, and exhibition panels.

Additionally, Premier placed a spotlight on its expanding creative papers range, which now includes the premium myCordenons range by Fedrigoni. Known for its remarkable quality and craftsmanship, the myCordenons collection offers designers unparalleled creative freedom. With a vast array of surfaces, weights, formats and colours, this collection brings innovation and tradition together, allowing creatives to craft iconic projects with the utmost care and attention.

Premier’s presence at the show extended across various divisions, including display graphics, digital, creative papers, self-adhesive materials, board, packaging, lamination films, office papers, and paper. Visitors were treated to a display of swatches, product guides, and printed samples which sparked numerous positive conversations and deep interest from attendees.

A standout theme from these discussions was the growing focus on environmental responsibility. There was significant interest in Premier’s Carbon Capture programme, run in partnership with the Woodland Trust. The programme allows Premier customers to capture the carbon from the products they purchase, contributing to the preservation and growth of woodland in the UK. The increasing enthusiasm for eco-friendly products and sustainability initiatives was a clear highlight of the exhibition, aligning with the Print Show's theme of pushing boundaries.

Premier’s commitment to sustainability was further emphasised with Brad West, Premier’s Director of Wide Format Media UK & Ireland, featuring as a guest speaker in the Knowledge Zone at the “Fostering Sustainable Waste Management with FESPA UK” panel discussion. West joined Suzi Ward, Managing Director of FESPA UK, Jon Hutton, Sustainability Consultant at FESPA UK, and Andrew Simmons, Sales Director Media at Soyang Europe, to discuss the successes of the FESPA UK Waste Accreditation programme.

The panel highlighted the programme’s vital role in promoting sustainable waste management within the print, signage, and graphics sectors. Since its inception, the programme has guided businesses toward responsible waste disposal and recycling, underscoring the importance of a circular economy. Premier, recognised as a ‘champion’ of sustainable waste management and a partner of the programme, has helped businesses streamline waste processes and enhance their environmental performance.

As sustainability continues to take centre stage in the print industry, Premier remains at the forefront, driving innovation and environmental stewardship across all sectors.
