Plockmatic Group To Showcase Highly Automated Creative Production Versatility At FESPA

Plockmatic Group will unveil next generation highly creative and versatile finishing capabilities at FESPA Global Print Expo, Fira Barcelona, Spain, from May 19 to 22.

Taking centre stage is the new FB9550 Pro-T. The fully automated, tangential creasing and cutting digital die cutter is engineered for lightning fast production, exceptional media control, and an intuitive, high performance workflow. Its production agility manages everything from complex packaging prototypes to point of sale displays and professional labels.

At its core, the FB9550 Pro-T features five versatile tools that support die cutting, creasing, perforation, debossing, and kiss cutting. Each one is designed to handle a variety of applications with precision and consistency. Its QR code driven workflow enables file retrieval for mixed or batch job production, SmartMark registration delivers incredible accuracy using ColorCut Pro software, and a patented Rear Mark Scanning System optimises creasing quality for certain jobs by creasing the back of the sheet without having to print marks or QR codes on both sides. Its 2.5kg creasing and cutting pressure ensures deeper more defined creases for a high quality finish on media from thin self adhesive label to boards up to 3,000 microns.

Visitors can unlock new creative possibilities too, with a first look at Plockmatic’s new ColorCut FB15000TO Pro fully automated cutting system. Designed to produce luxury packaging, labels, point of sale displays, and so much more, it delivers exceptional performance with true B0 media handling and cutting depths of up to 10mm. Combining B0 format handling with a precision engineered five tool cutting head with oscillating and v-cut options, the machine delivers exceptional versatility across a wide range of materials.

Engineered from high quality, long lasting components, the FB15000TO is built for demanding production environments while consistently delivering outstanding results. Its unique, patented rear camera scanning system allows users to cut fluted board from either side, depending on flute direction and material composition. A comprehensive three tier safety system protects operators and ensures smooth, worry free production. The system is suitable for a wide range of materials, including labels, folding box boards, foam board, corrugated card and even structural cardboard.

The recently launched, affordable and productive SC7800 Pro-RS XL, is being shown for the first time at an international event. Designed for the ultimate digital crease, the fully automatic flagship system combines ultra-reliable feeding with an instant job retrieval, high speed cutting plus a revolutionary double sided tangential crease. Equipped with a triple tool head, this device incorporates a premium flatbed style active tangential creasing wheel. This wheel is mirrored with an inverted (female) tangential creasing groove which floats under the media - similar to traditional fixed ‘die’ based technologies. It cuts and creases paperboard up to 450 microns enabling it to manage a diverse range of media, including boards and synthetics. QR code driven workflow supports total unattended automation. Joining it on stand are the highly successful SC6500 and SC7100 models.

Visitors can also explore fast, effortless, and precise kiss cut label production with the ColorCut LC330 and LC700 sheet label cutters, and high volume roll label production with the LCF520 roll to roll label Completing the stand line up is the FB1190T superfast B1 flatbed cutter that is precise enough to cut labels while its four tool selection provides users with the option to switch to high force cut and crease for thick N/E/F flute media, and the ColorFlare CF400 desktop foiler that transforms ordinary printed sheets into ‘extraordinary’ premium print work by adding stunning metallic and coloured foils, lamination, or holographic effects.

“All the technology rich systems on show at FESPA are designed to deliver cost effective, creative, production agility,” said Mark Baker-Homes, VP for Plockmatic Group’s Packaging and Label Business Unit. “They enable highly automated, uninterrupted production with reduced operator involvement, lower labour costs and greater overall efficiency. Designed to deliver smarter vision and faster workflows for total automation, they handle the complexity to allow operations to focus on higher value tasks.”
