Join us in Barcelona from 16 – 19 September, Hall 3, Stand E35. Epson announces its coming participation at LabelExpo 2025 in Barcelona from September 16-19. This year's exhibition will showcase Epson's latest innovations in commercial and industrial label production, including the highly anticipated SurePress L-5034.
With over 15 years of dedicated service to the label industry, Epson’s award-winning SurePress label presses and ColorWorks label printers are used extensively across Europe in many sectors and applications, setting the standard for excellence, reliability and productivity in colour and mono label production.
At LabelExpo 2025, Epson will showcase its very latest presses and printers for virtually every type of label application serving a diverse range of commercial and industrial sectors from retail, food & beverage, to pharmaceuticals, chemicals and logistics.
“Whatever your labelling needs, whether short-run, on-demand, large-scale high volume or niche, Epson has the answer,” said Marc Tinkler from Epson Europe’s Commercial and Industrial printing division.
“Our colour label presses and printers are used for food and beverage labelling, for shelf-edges in supermarkets, take-aways and deliveries, visitor passes and logistics. You can see them on wine bottles, jars, luxury goods, cosmetics, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals and so much more. Epson offers almost every kind of label for every type of application!”
“The launch of our SurePress L-5034 is the latest testament to our continuous dedication to providing high quality, fast, consistent and accurate colour label production,” adds Marc. “We are committed to providing innovative solutions that meet all our customers’ labelling needs.”
The SurePress L-5034 is a new water-based ink digital label printing platform, engineered for higher productivity without compromising print quality, making it an ideal choice for label converters looking to increase productivity and operational efficiency on a broad range of substrates, from non-coated textured papers to metallised stocks.
Key Features of the SurePress L-5034:
Optimiser Liquid Technology: This innovative feature jetted alongside colour inks optimises dot formation and ensures precise control of drop placement, resulting in stunning image quality.
Advanced Six-Colour Ink Set: The newly developed six-colour water-based ink set (CMYK plus Orange and Green) offers an impressive colour gamut and extensive Pantone coverage, meeting the stringent requirements of brand owners while adhering to major chemical substance restrictions for safety in food-related consumer goods.
PrecisionCore Printhead: Equipped with Epson’s PrecisionCore technology, the L-5034 delivers a native resolution of 1200 dpi, ensuring outstanding image quality for fine details, small text, and smooth gradations.
Real-time Nozzle Detection: Featuring our proprietary automated real-time nozzle verification technology (NVT) along with a nozzle compensating system, the L-5034 maintains consistent image quality throughout the print run without any interruptions, enhancing overall productivity.
Efficient Cleaning System: A newly designed automated printhead cleaning system minimizes operator intervention and manual maintenance, maximising uptime and increasing efficiency.
Sophisticated Camera System: This system enables automatic image quality adjustments upon printhead replacement, further improving operational efficiency and maximising uptime.
Robust Web Transport System: Capable of handling a web width of 340mm and accommodating high-capacity rolls up to 120kg, the L-5034 is built for versatility and reliability.
The new L-5034 will accompany Epson’s other SurePress L-6534VW and L4733AW on stand E35, Hall 3 and will be commercially available from September 2025.
In addition to the SurePress L-5034, Epson’s stand will feature an extensive range of ColorWorks on-demand colour label printers, including
the C8000e series which is designed for high-volume label production while reducing costs associated with pre-printing, such as label waste and over-stocked inventory.
The ColorWorks C8000e incorporates Epson’s unique PrecisionCore printhead technology to achieve an image resolution of 1200 x 600dpi,
enabling accurate reproduction of barcodes and small fonts, while its print speed of 300 mm/sec minimises run times for on-demand jobs. To further enhance image accuracy and reliability, the C8000e features Epson’s Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT) to prevent
misprints, as well as spot colour matching and ICC profiling for easy and precise colour management.
Epson will also showcase its new ColorWorks D6000 series on-demand industrial label printer series, featuring UltraChrome DY dye inks that deliver improved colour reproduction and durability on glossy media and cater specifically to the needs of artisan producers and bespoke packaging industries.
Marc Tinkler concludes: “We look forward to welcoming you all to our stand in Barcelona at LabelExpo this year. We will be very happy to discuss and explore how all our technologies can help meet all your label production needs.”
