Hardings Print Solutions has finalised a £1.3m investment programme with the installation of a Horizon iCE StitchLiner Mark IV and a Foliant Taurus 530 NG 4X4 laminator from IFS. 



The additions follow the recent commissioning of an HP Indigo 120k Digital Press which joins two other HP Indigos.
The commercial printer with a site in Feltham, provides a comprehensive one stop shop for a wide range of print projects. 
The new systems and solutions will create a faster, more efficient production environment. Steve Harding, CEO, explains: “We complete 50 to 60 jobs every day and we need to be able to deliver much faster. We never say no. Customers want things the next day and we needed to be able to meet that need more effectively.”

He continues: “We installed the new Indigo press but needed the finishing capabilities to support its speed and production. We liked the StitchLiner for its quick makereadies that would match the productivity required. We didn’t look at anything else because we knew how good it was. It is fast, efficient and we are now producing a lot more done in the day. There are no more bottlenecks.”

Hardings Print Solutions’ Horizon iCE StitchLiner Mark IV achieves high quality booklet production at speeds of up to 6,000 booklets per hour. Its cloud based iCE LiNK automates workflow from upstream to post press. It provides access to an intuitive easy to use dashboard that reports real time production analysis for improved efficiency and profitability, remote update capabilities, and scheduled maintenance resulting in less downtime. 

The Foliant Taurus 530 NG 4X4 double sided laminating machine offers very high performance. Compact and fast, it is constructed for non stop work at speeds of up to 40 m/min and up to 3,420 sheets per hour.

Says Steve: “We already have a single sided Taurus but needed double sided capabilities. The new addition was the natural choice. The team knew how to operate it, so it was easy to integrate into production.”

He concludes: “We are extremely happy with the systems, solutions, and support from IFS.”
